211 "Spacesaver" Wall or Counter Mount  Telephone
Up for auction this original Western Electric  211 Spacesaver telephone from the 1940's and 50's. This has been totally refurbished and rewired to work right out of the box.  The  body,  "L" bracket, fingerwheel and number card holder have been professionally powdercoated a very Black.  It has a Very nice "F" style handset that has been buffed and polished. It has chrome hook in very good condition. It has a new black cloth handset cord, and a brand new 6 ft back modular cord from phone to plug into the wall.  It has a very nice No. 5H dial cleaned and adjusted to Western Electric Specs. All numbers and letters are crisp and clear. Included is the hard to find original Heavy "L"bracket. This, with the movable dial head, makes mounting this cool phone able to mount almost anywhere. These were originally made to work with a separate ringer box. This has been bypassed and will NOT ring. Of course, you can answer when another phone in your house rings.  This phone will work on any STANDARD landline. Certain newer modems or other VOIP phones systems will require a "Pulse to Tone converter" to dial out. These are readily available online, otherwise, it's an answer only telephone.
