    Description

    Western Electric 20B Nickle Plated Candlestick Telephone 229W w/Oak Mag Ring Box. This Candlestick telephone came from the Estate of a retired telephone repairman that collected only the best in vintage telephones!  It is marked "Western Electric Company 229W" on the front of the head under the voice cone.  It is marked "Patented Aug. 16 1904 Sept. 18 1904 20-B" on the top back of the neck.  The handset is marked Western Electric Company 144AW" on the edge of the ear piece rim.  The Oak mag ring box handle turns as it should and rings when turning.  Dark oak box appears to in good original condition and I believe it is a 315H model.  The phone and box is untested and being sold "as is".  Condition is "Used".  Please see pictures for condition.  The voice cone has 2 noticeable chips on the left side front.  The nickle has some pitting.  The handset has no visible chips or cracks, but is "dull" in color.  The box ringer bells are missing some paint.  All of this due to being over 100+ years old and use.
