    Description

    For your consideration is a vintage QUARTER SAWN OAK WOOD WALL PHONE BOX who’s (miraculously surviving) tag is marked 1919. I suspect the phone is older than this as the tag reads 190_ which would indicate the first ten years of the century. The box itself (without cover or backing piece) measures 19 1/4 x 8 x 4 1/2 inches. This box is in rough shape with the front surface painted and separated along it’s glue joints. This box was found in an old basement and is dirty and dusty. So... it is not perfect... but it does appear to be salvageable. You are purchasing it as-is, as-found, and as-pictured. My hope is that someone can use it for restoration. Thank you for your interest.
