here is a vintage 1940s era CRADLE TELEPHONE ,... on it is ...
WESTERN ELECTRIC trade  mark ...REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.  MADE IN U.S.A. ...
notice the type of mouth piece it has.  the base is small ( rare on these ) its 6" by 5" oval.  one screw that hold the plate is broken off . the remaining screw holds the base tight, with no problem.  i have no test it so i am selling it as is .
