    Description

This is a BEAUTIFUL SOLID BRASS WESTERN ELECTRIC CANDLESTICK TELEPHONE & WALNUT COW  BELL RINGER SUBSET READY TO DISPLAY.
I have cleaned/polished the telephone and Cow Bell Ringer Subset but have done nothing to trouble-shoot it to determine if any electrical repairs would be necessary. It is in "as you see it" condition with no warranties or promises that you can connect it into an existing phone line and use it.
It is in VERY GOOD CONDITION as the photos will atest. Please look at the photos carefully as they are an important part of the description and please ask me any questions that you might have and I will do my best to answer them. I want you to be thoroughly satisfied with your purchase. If there is any doubt, please don't commit to buying it as it wastes both of our time.
This Oak Subset Cow Bell Ringer Box was made by
    WESTERN ELECTRIC
and features an Induction Coil and Two Capacitors.
    The
    COW BELLS
make a distinctive sound when they are rung.
All appears to be ORIGINAL except for the Earpiece which may be an after market reproduction. The Cloth Cords appear to be Original and in quite good condition given their age (Circa 1930). The patent dates are listed on the base of the candlestick phone as " Aug 16, '04; Sept 13 '04 and Jan 26 '15"
Western Electric Dial Candlestick Telephones were made of solid brass and painted black. To have a polished brass one was more of a rarity.
In the early days multiple line telephones were not yet developed. Locations requiring more than one line were supplied with several telephones. Ringer boxes with a variety of bells producing distinctive sounds were installed allowing user to tell which phone to answer.  Some types: COW BELLS, LIBERTY BELLS, SLEIGH BELLS, "T" BELLS, WOOD BELLS, GLASS BELLS and several sizes of round bells.
Walnut ringer boxes are very hard to find. Most are oak.  This one is in excellent condition.
