    Description

    ARTIST TEDDY BEAR WITH EXTRAS
    This 12" teddy is made of soft plush (mohair?) He has wool felt pads that have a few moth bites to the left side. He has black plastic eyes and is fully jointed.
    Stitched in his back seam is a cloth label "A Hand-sewn Original By Chester Freeman".
    He was made by the Reverend Chester Freeman of Geneva. NY. Chester was a former chaplain who began making bears in the early 1980's. He is an African American artist who is listed in the "Contemporary Teddy Bear Price Guide". He was also the author of the children's book "The Runaway Teddy Bear".
    He comes with a display information board from an exhibition, some extra paper labels, a silk screen print on fiber of "Runaway Teddy", and a quantity of clothes. Some of the clothes might not fit this teddy but they were all found with him.
