    Description

    This is Vintage Art Deco Model 302 Western Electric Telephone With Olive Green Plastic Covers.
    The mode 302 desk telephone was introduced in 1937 and was manufactured until 1954.
    Created by famed industrial designer Henry Dreyfus, the first versions had a die-cast zinc housing, predominately black.
    The 302 series was the first subscriber desk phone to contain the rangers and industrial coil within the phone.
    The phone in good vintage used WORKING  condition with original cloth cord and plug, shows some minor wear for it age.
    It has old plug and needed adapter.
    The dial smoothly rotates back, making that classic ticking as it passes each number.
    The hand set marked: Bell System made by Western Electric  F1
    The telephone has a olive green plastic covers marked: Colorphone Trade Mark Patented L.E. Mason Co. Boston 36 Mass.
    For those who could not afford a colored set, these plastic covers were  made to slip over your 302 desk set.
    In this way, designer telephones available to more people.
    The telephone measures approx.  5 1/2" tall with hand set, 5 1/2" x 8" base and weight about 7-8 lbs.
    The vintage 302 phone wonderful addition to anyone's collection.
