STROMBERG CARLSON MODEL 1911 DESK SET, INTERCOM OR HOTEL ROOM PRE-1940 PHONE

Description

This appears to be a Stromberg Carlson Model 1911 Desk Set. It is strikingly similar to the pictures of a model 1911 in the S/C 1936 Catalog.
It has been reconstructed. I purchased the phone from a less than stellar Ebayer. Upon opening the package I found the base in 3 pieces.
Even with proof of damage via pictures he refused to provide only a partial refund . So, in hopes of getting my money back,  I had to reconstruct the phone by assembling the
body using fiberglass reinforced tape and JB Weld. After several hours of sanding I decided the body would pass most eye tests and so it's
finally for sale. There maybe some tiny areas where a good eye can see the repaired crack. But you have to look. My hope is to only get the rest of my money back. This phone will be great for a vendor or even a beginning collector. The disconnect plunger works great, all internal pieces of the hand set appear to be intact, I'm not sure about the internals. Don't let my description scare you away. I'd rather you be pleasantly surprised as opposed to disappointed. Shipping is 16.50 USPS Ground.
