    THE ITEM DESCRIPTION:
    The Stromberg Carlson candlestick telephone with a dial in the base is in excellent condition with a working dial. Telephone is 11 1/2” tall. The base & the shaft are black painted metal. The dial, receiver hook, top of shaft & transmitter head are nickel finish over brass. The receiver is marked Stromberg Carlson Telephone Mfg Co at the top & around the top of the removable receiver base the same marking to which they aded Rochester, NY U.S.A. The back of the transmitter head is marked Mfd. By Stromberg Carlson Tel. Mfg. Co. Rochester, NY U.S.A. The nickel finish in the back is worn in places revealing the brass underneath. [All of the part with nickel finish could be cleaned up. I just never found the time] The white enamel dial with black numbers has been cleaned as best as I could using a q-tip & a bit of warm water. You can still see the dirt around the edges of the dial which would require removing the dial to properly clean it. There is no longer a felt cloth bottom. There is a removable disc on the dial that says North P.A.X. A PAX is a private automated exchange. Circa 1915. Excellent condition. 082021/92AEJ(1) All of the telephones that I have for sale are being sold “as is” & “as found.” I never did any work to the phones in my collection which was assembled between the years 1990 & 1994.
