Description
The porcelain decoration business was established in Czechoslovakia in the city of Karlsbad (Karlovy Vary) in 1930 by Josef Kuba. During the WWII country was occupied by Germans. When the war ended, Josef Kuba opened decoration business in Bavarian Wiesau. When he died in 1972, the decoration business was overtaken by his son, Horst Kuba. It was finally closed in 1989. It is a fact that people collect. It is not easy to answer on the question why. They are guided probably by both - their personal preferences and trying to generate some material values, nay, even multiplying value by creating a set of individual pieces. There is a drop of boasting in gathering, as well as a desire to stop the magic that is hidden in old things used by the former generation. JKW Western Germany Gold Trim Fine Porcelain Bird and Flowers 8.50” Plate tagged from 1930 in great vintage condition.
