    Description

    This is an
    ORIGINAL
    Western Electric Candlestick Telephone
    . It is
    COMPLETE
    and in
    WORKING
    condition. the stick and base are
    ALL BRASS
    with a bakelite earpiece. Still has the felt piece on the bottom of the base. It carries a patent date of Jan. 26, 1915. The base and the mouthpiece
    BOTH
    have the
    Western Electric
    name stamped into them.
    IN ADDITION
    - the phone has been wired into a
    Western Electric 685A
    mechanical ringer unit with adjustable volume control (build date of 5-75). The ringer box terminates in a modern standard Telco connector.
    The phone is currently in use and works
    PERFECTLY
    with incoming and outgoing volume quality excellent. The switch-hook works as designed so the phone is answered when the receiver is lifted.
    NO
    restoration- the original brass finish intact and the receiver still has its original cloth wire.
    Just a BEAUTIFUL piece!
