Civil War Store Card for Centennial Advertising Medal Company in Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaFuld NC-PA-Bb (brass) R-8 NGC MS-64 Slabbed prior to 3rd Edition Store Card book as PA NC-10B
The company that issued this token was a token and medal manufacturer in the 1870's. The reverse die was created by Louis Roloff for F.C. Key & Sons and it was originally used to strike a few token varieties during the Civil War. This token was slabbed prior to the publication of the Fuld 3rd edition store card book and the old attribution is on the slab label. NGC notes the token was struck with a broken collar; however, all of the tokens struck with these dies were prepared with a unique collar that results in an irregular planchet shape.
This is a choice uncirculated specimen with a very attractive appearance. It is difficult to photograph in the slab.
Shipping is free. Should this token fail to meet your expectations, it can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. Sales tax, if applicable,
is collected by Ebay and submitted directly to state authorities.
