Mr. Brimelow possibly obtained store card tokens from New York City token maker Louis Roloff using dies that were mostly created in Philadelphia by token maker F.C. Key and Sons.  Six custom dies were created by F.C. Key and Sons and all but two of these dies bear the Brimelow name.  Of the two dies that do not bear the Brimelow name, one is catalogued as a stock reverse die even though it was not used to strike store card tokens for any other merchants.  One of the Brimelow dies prepared by F.C. Key and Sons was used in combination with a Roloff stock reverse die for token production.  This token is an extremely scarce variety struck in brass from two of the F.C. Key and Sons dies.  All other varieties struck using this die combination are very rare.
