Mirolux 12 Retroreflectometer road marking luminous reflectivity testing machine

I am a equipment remarker and not a user of the equipment so I am unfamiliar with exactly how it works.  This retroreflectometer is
useful for testing highway paint traffic markings for luminous reflectivity.  I
picked it from a local Fortune 500 company. They have a lot of parking lots nationwide so I am assuming this is/was test equipment used by their facility maintenance department.
Limited testing:  I turned on and switched the switches so I could describe what it did.  It was photo #1 upon turn on.  I switched the "Reflectivity
" switch from "Normal" to
"High" and it then showed the display shown in photo #2.  Then turned the "Reflectivity" switch back to "Normal", turned "on" the switch located on the top, rotated the two "setting" knobs up to "38" and "375" and took photo #3.  Then "pushed in" the "plunger" on the back side and took photo #4.  No further testing was performed.  If you give directions on a different test, I would be happy to perform it and give you the results.
I just had Interstate Batteries make a brand new battery.
Instead of the 5000mAh NiCd batteries it originally used, I had my battery guys make the new battery pack using 10000mAh NiMH batteries instead.

(1) New battery pack containing (10) EBL 10000mAh NiMH "D" cells
(1) "Homemade" power charger using a 1/4" TS jack to plug into the Mirolux's 1/4 power jack.
