  • Condition: This unusual Kellogg transmitter is in good condition. The cast iron arm and base are in outstanding condition with no cracks are chips. There are some rough areas around the edges of the transmitter that I think is from the original casting and was not removed before it was put in service as a test part. The pictures are the best indication of condition.

    Description

    This is an extremely rare Kellogg telephone transmitter arm and base. The transmitter is marked "KELLOGG CHICAGO, USA PAT. APPD. FOR NO-45725-L" The arm and base are cast iron and the entire unit is very heavy. Kellogg got their patent approved in Nov of 1901 so this part is probably from 1899 or 1900. The entire assembly is 9 inches tall.
