Hocking Glass Co. "Miss America" 8 3/4" Large Straight Sided Fruit Bowl 1935-38

"Miss America" 8 3/4" straight sided Large Fruit Bowl produced by Hocking Glass Company from 1935-38. It does have a couple of production problems. One is a line on the middle of the base that looks like a scratch but is is a mark from the mold it was formed in and the other is a bit of unmelted material was pressed between the mold and the glass. If this happens inside the glass it would be called (and look like) a stone but this one is on the outer side of the bowl. It was a white powdery substance that I tried to clean up but it still shows almost as if an air bubble had formed there. This bowl is listed in the 2009 "Depression Glass" book at but I am listing it significantly below that due to the stone issue. Otherwise I could find a shiny line near the top inside of the bowl but it is not a crack since it does not shine inside the surface of the glass and is most likely a scratch from having another bowl was stacked in this one. It is very hard to see without direct sunlight on it. Shipping will be by USPS Priority Mail.
