    Civil War Store Card for Caspar J. Holthofer, Dry Goods Dealer in Detroit, Michigan
    Fuld  MI225AO-4a (copper)     R-7     NGC  MS-64 BN
    Mr. Holthofer obtained store card tokens from Cincinnati token maker John Stanton.  Two custom obverse dies were prepared and used to strike tokens mostly on copper planchets.  One of the obverse dies has the incorrect middle initial I instead of the correct initial J.  All varieties struck with this error die are extremely rare.  This token was struck with the correctly spelled obverse die and it is rare.
