This auction is for a beautiful Model 40 Monophone manufactured by Automatic Electric in the 1940s. The phone has been thoroughly refurbished and tested to work perfectly. It features a chrome finger wheel on the type 24 dial and a chrome carry handle. The cords have both been replaced with new black vinyl cords; the line cord has a modular plug on the end for instant connection to a modern modular jack. The phone has a straight line ringer and has been tested to work on traditional land line telephone service. I do not know how it will function on VOIP internet or cellular service. The original rubber ring around the base plate to protect furniture is still soft and plyable.. The pictures do not do it justice, this is truly a beautiful Bakelite phone from the early 20th century. There are no cracks or chips, Please email me with questions. Buyer pays USPS Priority Mail cost plus handling. International shipping will be via eBay"s Global Shipping Program.
