    Description

    Antique Telephone Ringer Box - Excellent condition.
    This is a fine example of the early telephone ringers. The exterior is in excellent condition. I believe it's made of Oak and the joints are dovetailed. There may have been another mechanism at one time. I judge this by the two holes drilled under the ringing bells that can be visually seen if the top is opened and you look just under the electronic cylinders. It also has a slight enlarging hole that the striker rod goes through.
    I'm uncertain of the manufacturer as it is unmarked. There is a signed stamped name on the back that appears to say "J Cross" or "J Gross"
