Antique Telephone parts 2 empty wooden "magneto boxes“ (2813 AB)

Item A is empty wooden magneto box which we offer for parts or crafting purposes. Previously, the wooden box held antique telephone components. There are mounting holes in the corners of the backboard. There is no magneto currently in the box. Both the front and back panels are routed, sanded smooth and finished. The box sits on the backboard where the magneto mounting holes can be found. Overall, the wood is in fair condition, and the finish is fair.
Note these issues:
· backboard center: 1 split at top center edge of the backboard; this split runs the entire length of the backboard and can be seen also at the bottom center edge of the backboard
· backboard right: at the right edge see the 2 patched areas, along with 3 small holes
· backboard right lower mounting hole: see the patched mounting hole & corner at the right lower mounting hole. Besides the patch at the right mounting hole, there is 1 split which has been re-glued. This split runs through the repaired lower right mounting hole.
· backboard left lower mounting hole: see the patched mounting hole & corner at the left lower corner of the backboard. .
· backboard: see the 2 holes intended for the magneto mount, and also 2 additional holes on the right edge.
· box right panel: see the 3 patched areas
· box left panel: 1 hole intended for the crank
· box finished back panel: there are 9 patched areas in the finished back panel of the box.
· door: 1 patch at the center upper edge of the door
· inside surface of the door: 3 pin holes about 1 inch from the top edge
Exterior: The outside of the box is unmarked. The back panel of the box is smoothed and finished, as is the door. The magneto is mounted to the backboard. There are 2 terminals on the right panel The reverse side of the backboard upon which the box sits, has a name imprinted into the wood. This was a "magneto box"; it was never outfitted with bells or a ringer.
Door closure: The door is fitted with a key closure mechanism. When the mechanism is rotated, a metal "tongue" is supposed to rotate into a slot in the wooden side wall of the box to secure the door. The lock mechanism does rotate after application of DW40, and the condition of the slot in the wooden sidewall is fair and functional. The "tongue" does catch in the slot and secure the door. We were able to rotate the closure mechanism using an old key that we had on hand, however, AN OLD KEY DID NOT COME WITH THIS PHONE. *** Please be advised that an old key is NOT included in this sale ***.

This 2nd item is an empty wooden magneto box with mounting holes in each corner of the backboard. Both the front and back panels of the box are smooth, routed, and finished. This box sits on the backboard. Inside the box, the magneto would have been mounted directly to the backboard in its original state. Overall, the wood is in good condition, and the finish is fair.
Note these issues:
· backboard: 4 intended holes for the magneto mount
· box top panel: see the paint/flyspecks on the top panel of the box
· box left panel: 1 hole for the crank
· inside surface of door: 4 divots, 1 in each corner.
Exterior: The box is unmarked and has two terminals on the edge of the backboard. Both the front and back panels of the box are smooth, routed, and finished. This box sits on the backboard. There are no bells and no ringer mechanism, as this is a "magneto box."
Door closure: The door is secured with a "screw closure" mechanism.
Interior: There is no magneto currently in the box. The magneto would have been mounted directly to the backboard in its original state.
