  • Condition: This rotary dial candlestick telephone was produced by the Automatic Electric Company, Chicago. Below the mouthpiece, the phone is marked "3C". This appears to be an early model with a stepped base and a rotary dial that stands out in the front. The rotary dial spins and retracts smoothly to its original position. It appears that the original brown, cloth-covered cord has been replaced with a smooth, shiny black cord. The phone has not been tested and is being sold as is for display or restoration.     Antique AE Automatic Electric Company CANDLESTICK DIAL TELEPHONE
    This rotary dial candlestick telephone was produced by the Automatic Electric Company, Chicago.  The phone is marked "3C" on the front of the head below the mouthpiece.  This phone appears to be an early model with a stepped base and a rotary dial that stands out in front of the base.  As can be seen from the photos, there is some paint missing and light rust on the phone base and pillar.  There are some paint chips on the front face of the head.  The rotary dial spins and retracts smoothly to its original position.  It appears that the original brown, cloth-covered cord has been replaced with a smooth, shiny black phone cord.  The phone stands approximately 11 1/4" tall and the base is approximately 5 3/16" in diameter.  The phone weighs approximately 3 pounds 12 ounces.  The phone has not been tested and is being sold as is for display or restoration.
