    Description

    This is very rare. Hard to find info on Google. Hard to find similar sold on eBay. I inherited it and am selling it as-is. See photos. From what I could ascertain, this is a War of the Rebellion Token. It was probably minted during the US Civil War. It is from "Allegheny City" north of Pittsburg PA. Yes, back then, Pittsburgh didn't have an "h". Anywho, the Obverse says "Hahn & Riddle Grocers, Diamond, Allegheny PA. The Reverse says, "City Tea House No. 20, Diamond, Allegheny PA. This one very old book I found "The Coin Collector's Journal" printed Nov of 1883 on page 162 said it was design #6.  If anyone can tell me the significance of "Diamond", I'd like to know. Probably an area within Allegheny City.  Congrats to the winning bidder!
