    Description

Fresh out of an early Maine estate collection.
Circa 1930's, Art Deco design, Kellogg Bakelite Masterphone 900, noted as a "Pyramid" phone. Painted in lavender. Expertly and professionally restored, in fine operating condition. This is a truly remarkable telephone representing the ultimate in art deco design. The Kellogg Switchboard Co. (later ITT) was an early manufacturer of telephones and central office equipment. This telephone has all original bakelite. Some components required changing to allow it to work up to acceptable operating performance - these changes do little to the value of the telephone and are necessary so it can be used. Has a beautiful ring. A remote pocket tone dialer is included. 10 foot cord to plug in, the receiver has a 3 foot cord. Only movie stars and VIPS could get a colored telephone when this was produced, bakelite can not be colored in light shades, painting is the only option for light colors.
In fine working condition, some minimal normal wear to paint.  Please see photos as to type and condition. Beautiful!
Shipping includes insurance and custom packaging to ensure a safe arrival.
Please see my listings for more early items from the same estate collection. Will combine shipping, when possible.
    Much luck!
